The 20th North East FLap Course

Co-operation between University Hospital of North Durham, Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, Wansbeck General Hospital, Ashington, The Department of Anatomy, University of Newcastle.

Venue: Newcastle Surgical Training Centre, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne

A four day course concentrating on the practical anatomy of flaps covering all the regions of the body. The course will be based full time in the dissecting rooms and participants will get first hand experience on raising flaps.

The dissections will be complemented by lectures and clinical tutorials. Places will be limited to 16 and early booking is advised. (4 participants per dissection table)

An Observer only option is available, at £250 per day. This is ideal if you are still a junior trainee, and wish to understand the principles of flap elevation. Any combination of days is possible. A handout of the procedures will be made available for observers on teach day.

Course fee: £2450 (payable on application to 'Durham Flap Course’)
